Moving Long Distance? You have options!

If you are planning a long distance move this article is for you. A lot of long distance movers don't realize that they have options and that the traditional full service moving company isn't their only option. If you are planning a small long distance move, well then....of course we HIGHLY recommend ourselves but here are your other options;

1. Rent a truck and either do the loading and unloading yourself or hire professionals for moving labour on either side of the move. Moving helper services, like ours, can load or unload you leaving just the driving to you. Hiring professional moving labour is great for a few reasons;
  1. You don't drain your energy before the big drive
  2. You don't have to lug everything into your new home upon arriving
  3. Your belongings get packed and loaded properly reducing the potential for damage.
Hiring help for your load and unload or for either side will be the best investment you make. Just make sure to do your due diligence on the mover.

2. PODS, PODS, PODS. With hundreds of franchises worldwide, this revolutionary mobile storage concept can provide a completely hands off long distance moving experience if you wish. Alternatively, you can load and unload your container yourself but avoid the dreaded long haul drive.

3. ABF U-PACK. ABF offers an LTL (less than trailer load) service for long distance moves. They bring the trailer to you, you load your share of the trailer and then they drive it to your destination. Going with ABF can save you lots of money on your long distance move.

If you are looking for Toronto moving help for any of these options, you will not find a better service. We have been offering moving labour for the past 9 years in Toronto and have professionally trained and certified movers.

Whether your long distance move is completely DIY or not, it is always good to know what your options are. For more information about any of these moving options, contact one of our moving coordinators for a free consultation today at 1-866-999-2766.
